Overview
The Patient Placement Coordinator's role is the front line of our hospital. You will be the voice, eyes and ears of our families and providers wanting information about the services Phoenix Children’s can offer. This role encompasses having a vast array of knowledge of the internal functions of a hospital; being an educator in communicating to those who are wanting to know more about PCH;
as well as using the skills as an RN to direct the patient/physician to the appropriate resources. Incumbent will take incoming calls dealing with highly complex medical cases, and we require a minimum of 4 - 5 years of Emergency Room or any critical care experience in order to provide the best care for those calling in with complex medical issues.
This is a FULL TIME position, ONSITE, and we are looking for someone to work 11 AM
-12:30 PM (3, 12 hour shifts), and every third weekend!!! This position does require an RN license. NO NEW GRADS, please.
This position is accountable for coordination and acceptance of information regarding direct admissions and transfers to Phoenix Children’s. Responsibilities also include coordinating all aspects of patient placement within the facilities, and partnering with nursing and other clinical operation departments to facilitate patient access, throughput, and capacity.

- Collaborate with nursing and other clinical operation departments to support direct admissions and transfers to Phoenix Children’s.
- Two year (ADN) degree in nursing, a four year degree (BSN) in nursing, or a Diploma Nursing degree.
- Bachelor`s degree in Nursing or currently enrolled in an RN to BSN program.
- Two years Clinical RN experience.
- Pediatric experience.
- Current State of Arizona RN license or an RN license from a compact state with multistate privileges or the ability to establish licensure according to Arizona law prior to start date.
- Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association.
- Current PALS certification.
