Overview of Internship RoleThe RBBB Operations & Administrative Intern will work under the supervision of the Administrative & Operations Manager to complete projects related to inventory management, volunteer management, room organizing efficiencies, and more. In addition to assigned tasks, the Operations and Administration Intern will be given the opportunity to take on tasks that are of personal interest, dependent upon the needs of the Operations Department and the organization.

Hours & ScheduleA weekly commitment of 8-15 hours is required. Interns will be expected to commit to a set schedule within RBBB's main office hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday.

Internship positions are meant to be short-term and based around academic semesters and last for 3-4 months. We offer:
Spring, Summer and Fall positions.

Position TypeThis internship is unpaid. Read Better Be Better is fully committed to providing eligible interns with all documentation necessary for them to receive course credit for their time with the organization, if they wish to do so.
Key Responsibilities- Provide support for administrative functions, including but not limited to:
- Perform various office administrative support duties, including handling mail, answering phones, filing, and word processing
- Provide support for the organization's volunteer management, including but not limited to:
- Schedule availability with volunteers and in-office needs
- Welcome and set up incoming volunteers for needed tasks
- Help organize the office spaces for volunteer events and tasks
- Research and connect with possible volunteer, corporate, and community organizations for larger volunteer needs
- Provide support for inventory and supply management:
- Help support the supply requests
- Help manage inventory
- Receive incoming office and Program supply deliveries and communicate with the Operations Manager for inventory updates
- Assist with facilities management
- Design and complete projects based on personal interest and organizational need
- Perform other general Operations Department duties as assigned

- Computer skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Enrollment in/having a relevant degree program preferred (i.e. business administration, nonprofit management, etc.)
- Ability to manage large sets of data and manage time
- Understanding of the following platforms and applications:
Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint), Salesforce, and Slack
