Volunteer Coordinator

This is an on-site volunteer role located in Phoenix, AZ, for a Volunteer Coordinator. The Volunteer Coordinator will be responsible for recruiting, training, scheduling, and supporting volunteers to meet organizational needs. Daily tasks include managing volunteer databases, coordinating volunteer activities and events, and communicating effectively with both volunteers and staff. The Volunteer Coordinator will also assist with creating and improving processes to ensure a meaningful and efficient volunteer experience.

• Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills
• Experience in recruitment, training, and volunteer coordination
• Proficiency in maintaining databases and records
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of volunteers and staff
• Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
• Prior experience in nonprofit or community-based organizations is a plus
• Knowledge of event coordination and community engagement
