Marketing & Communications Director

Salary Range: $75,000 - $100,000 (based on experience)
Position Overview:
Ganem Companies is seeking a strategic and execution-driven Marketing & Communications Director to lead brand, marketing, and communications efforts across the organization. This role is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that support business development, client experience, recruiting, and long-term brand growth. Reporting directly to the President, this position works closely with the Director of Business Development, Client Relations Manager, and company leadership to align marketing initiatives with company goals, while also playing an integral, hands-on role in execution, reporting, and continuous improvement.
This is a senior, highly visible role suited for a marketing leader who understands the AEC industry, thrives in a fast-moving environment, and is comfortable owning both strategy and day-to-day delivery.
Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and oversee comprehensive marketing and communications strategies aligned with company goals, growth initiatives, and brand positioning
- Serve as brand steward for Ganem Companies, ensuring consistency across all internal and external touchpoints
- Partner with the President, Director of Business Development, Client Relations Manager, and leadership team to support sales, pursuit, and relationship-driven initiatives
- Translate business objectives into clear marketing plans with measurable outcomes
Brand Management
- Own and manage the Ganem Companies brand across all platforms, divisions, and materials
- Establish and enforce brand standards, messaging frameworks, and visual consistency
- Oversee brand evolution initiatives as the company grows and expands into new markets or service lines
Content Marketing & Communications
- Lead content strategy and execution, including social media, website content, newsletters, case studies, project features, and thought leadership
- Oversee internal and external communications, including company announcements, employee initiatives, and culture-driven storytelling
- Collaborate with project teams to capture and communicate project narratives, milestones, and success stories
Public Relations & External Visibility
- Develop and coordinate PR strategy, including press releases, award submissions, media outreach, and industry recognition
- Build and maintain relationships with industry publications, partners, and local media
- Identify opportunities for speaking engagements, panels, sponsor ships, and community involvement
Advertising & Campaign Execution
- Plan, execute, and manage advertising campaigns across digital, print, and industry-specific channels
- Oversee paid media strategy, campaign performance, and ROI tracking
- Ensure campaigns align with brand standards and business objectives
Marketing Collateral & Presentations
- Lead development of marketing collateral including proposals, presentations, qualifications packages, brochures, and pursuit materials
- Collaborate with business development and leadership teams to support key pursuits and client presentations
- Ensure materials are compelling, on-brand, and strategically aligned
Budgeting, Reporting & Performance
- Develop and manage the annual marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources
- Track performance metrics, analyze results, and report on marketing effectiveness to leadership
- Continuously refine strategies based on data, feedback, and business needs
Team Oversight & Collaboration
- Provide direction, oversight, and mentorship to marketing team members and external partners
- Manage relationships with consultants, designers, photographers, videographers, and agencies as needed
- Foster cross-department collaboration to ensure marketing efforts support company-wide initiatives
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
- 7+ years of progressive marketing experience; AEC industry experience strongly preferred
- Proven experience in brand management, content marketing, PR, and campaign execution
- Strong strategic thinking skills paired with hands-on execution ability
- Experience managing budgets, reporting metrics, and measuring ROI
- Exceptional written, verbal, and visual communication skills
- Comfortable working directly with executive leadership and representing the company externally
- Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
