Senior Account Executive – Phoenix, AZ
Southwest Strategies Group is seeking a full‑time Senior Account Executive to join our Phoenix team. The role involves executing senior management and client vision, drafting communications, building relationships with key audiences, and business development by seeking new relationships for potential opportunities. We look for strong writers and researchers who enjoy learning everything they can about a client or project.

Location & TravelMust be located within Phoenix, AZ. Offices operate on a hybrid schedule with 3 days onsite. Travel required up to 10‑15% of the time. The role may include early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.
CompensationThe annual base amount ranges from $57,000–$70,000, dependent on location, experience, and qualifications. Adjustments may be made based on market conditions.
Responsibilities- Assist with the planning, development, and execution of public relations, communications, and marketing initiatives across various projects.
- Prepare client research, media coverage, and social media tracking.
- Develop and implement social media campaigns, including content development and calendars.
- Manage collateral development: create content, coordinate with graphics, and meet deadlines.
- Create high‑quality internal and external communications (fact sheets, client presentations, news releases, eblasts, message platforms, flyers, signage, etc.).
- Develop consistent, creative, and successful media pitches.
- Plan, execute, and represent clients at events (e.g., manning booths, staffing open houses).
- Actively search for business opportunities by attending networking events, professional associations, and meeting informally with government and business contacts.
- Provide guidance to and assist junior staff members (interns, account coordinators, account executives).
- Perform additional duties as required.

- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, Public Administration or similar preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in public relations or public outreach fields.
