UCT is looking for a talented Technician I to join us in Phoenix, AZ!

The Production Technician I supports manufacturing operations within UCT’s Advanced Technology Cleaning Centers (ATCC)® by performing precision cleaning and processing of customer tool chamber parts. Operating in cleanroom and chemical environments, the technician follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols to eliminate micro-contamination and ensure product quality. This role contributes to operational efficiency, safety compliance, and customer satisfaction through accurate execution of assigned tasks.

Duties

and Responsibilities
  • Perform chemical and manual cleaning processes on tool chamber parts.
  • Execute tasks such as receiving, masking, scrubbing, etching, blasting, coating, drying, baking, and packaging.
  • Follow all SOPs, Lean manufacturing principles, and company policies.
  • Complete required training and certifications for assigned processes.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
  • Attend safety meetings and complete required safety training.
  • Handle hazardous chemicals safely and in accordance with disposal protocols.
  • Accurately report task completion and maintain production documentation.
  • Demonstrate commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Seek opportunities to expand skills and advance process knowledge.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience
  • 1 year of experience in manufacturing or materials processing.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail and efficiency.
  • Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and evenings.
  • Comfortable wearing cleanroom gowning (e.g., hair net, frock).
  • Ability to take SPC measurements and log data accurately.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and environmental practices.
Education, Certifications, Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED or related field preferred.
  • AA degree in a technical field or some college preferred.
  • Certifications in chemical handling, cleanroom operations, or Lean manufacturing.
  • 1 year experience in manufacturing processes or materials.
  • Experience in parts cleaning and coating technologies is desired.
  • Kaizen or Lean training is a major plus.
  • Media blast experience.
  • Quality Assurance experience.
  • Previous experience in the Parts cleaning industry is a major plus.
  • High‑tech or Semiconductor experience.
Work Environment
