We are currenrly seeking two Document Control Specialists for an onsite ERP migration initiative in Phoenix, AZ. This contract role will focus on migrating legacy engineering and manufacturing technical documents (Travelers) from a legacy ERP system into a new Epicor Software Corporation ERP environment. This is a contract engagement requiring local candidates for onsite work, with hybrid flexibility available once established.
This is a high-impact opportunity to play a key role in a major ERP transformation rollout. You’ll help standardize operations, modernize documentation processes, and directly influence how manufacturing data is structured and utilized going forward. The role offers hands‑on involvement in ERP buildout, cross‑functional collaboration, and the chance to leave a lasting operational footprint within a highly technical aerospace manufacturing environment.
ContractDuration:
4 – 6 Months
Required Skills & Experience- Ability to review industrial manufacturing/engineering technical documents (Travelers) and update them with new operation‑specific work instructions and standardized operations
- Experience uploading travelers using custom Excel forms and data parsing tools into ERP systems
- Strong understanding of manufacturing Work Scopes, Operations, Part Numbers (P/N), Tooling, and BOM linkages
- Proven experience working within Epicor and other ERP systems
- Experience developing manufacturing process documentation compliant with regulatory requirements
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing specifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)
- Previous experience reviewing, updating, and migrating/converting manufacturing‑engineering technical documents into new ERP systems (Epicor ERP preferred)
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Continuous Improvement (CI), and Six Sigma methodologies
- Knowledge of quality systems and documentation management
- Experience training or mentoring junior technical staff

Daily Responsibilities- 80% Hands On – Updating, standardizing, migrating, and entering technical documentation and operational data into Epicor
- 20% Team Collaboration – Working cross‑functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams
