TIG Welder– Stainless Steel TIG Welding / Process Piping

Phoenix, AZ | 1st Shift | High-Precision Welding Projects

If you’re a stainless‑steel TIG expert who takes pride in clean beads, perfect alignment, and rock‑solid leadership on the shop floor, this is the role where your craftsmanship truly matters. We’re searching for a Foreman who isn’t just a welder — but a builder, a problem‑solver, and someone who can guide a team while still laying down world‑class welds.

In this position, every project brings something new. You’ll handle everything from high‑purity stainless systems to heavy‑wall schedule piping, working in a state‑of‑the‑art shop that values precision, safety, and professional growth.

What You’ll Do
  • Perform high‑precision butt welds on stainless steel pipe (Schedule 10–160), including bevel prep, cleaning, and GTAW welding with full penetration .

  • Execute open‑root welds on stainless Schedule 80 pipe — no backing rings, no shortcuts, just pure technique.

  • Utilize TIG (200+ AMP), Flux Core, and MIG processes depending on project needs.

  • Lead by example: set pace, uphold quality, mentor welders, and maintain a safe, sharp work environment.

  • Work directly from blueprints, isometrics, welding symbols , and complex technical drawings.

  • Oversee purge welding setups to eliminate oxidation and guarantee flawless interior quality.

  • Balance shop and field work, adapting quickly to changing job needs and environments.

What You Bring to the Table
  • 3–5+ years of hands‑on TIG welding experience in stainless steel process piping and 6G work.

  • Complete confidence reading and interpreting technical drawings and weld symbols.

  • Strong awareness of metallurgical behavior in stainless steel and related alloys.

  • Steady hands, sharp eyes for detail, and the skill to weld consistently in any position.

  • A commitment to safety — yours, your team’s, and the shop’s.

Bonus Points If You Have…
  • A 6G welding certification — the gold standard of welding skill.

  • Experience welding 2‑inch Schedule 80 pipe, especially in high‑pressure systems.

  • Strong Experience in back‑purge setups and contamination prevention.

Why You’ll Love Working Here
  • You won’t be stuck doing the same weld all day — every project brings a new challenge.

  • Split your time between a brand‑new, clean Phoenix shop and engaging field assignments.

  • Enjoy consistent overtime (10–20 hours/week) with minimal weekend work.

  • Be part of a team that takes pride in quality workmanship and values its welders.

  • Competitive pay with long‑term stability and room to grow.

Schedule & Work Environment
  • 1st Shift: 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM

  • Five 10‑hour shifts (weekends rarely needed)

  • Minimum: 50 hours/week

  • Required PPE: Steel‑toe boots, welding hood

  • Bring your tools: Square, two hold pins, level, tape measure
