Role
Summary:
Production Associate I
Performs diverse and complex assignments in support of client product development and manufacturing. Responsibilities may include manufacturing, assembly, advanced testing, reporting/documenting results of tests and assembly operations, packaging, and shipping of products with limited supervision.
ResponsibilitiesReads and follows work procedures and schematics or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed with limited supervision.
Maintain accurate records of the work performed and other records as may be required by management.
Performs manufacturing/assembly operations on multiple product lines and various tasks following procedures, bills of materials, work instructions, and process aid sheets with limited supervision.
Maintains daily production output.
Participates & Communicates improvements for EHS and Quality practices.
May participate in quality control inspections when required.
Works with team lead, engineers, supervisors, and managers to improve quality and process efficiency.
Other duties as assigned and may be asked to participate in Quality or LEAN activities, training sessions, and employee activity teams.
Provide strong manufacturing support on the development and prove out of new products, methods, tools, and test equipment.
Provide strong individual contributions in the context of driving and exceeding team goals.
Equipment set-up and performance of related first piece inspection to insure achievement of desired quality levels.
Performance of ongoing quality checks, recording of requested data and timely reporting of discrepancies.
Monitoring of machine and process variables, taking corrective action as required and promptly reporting conditions negatively impacting quality, output, or equipment performance.
Interface with electronic quality, production and documentation systems providing accurate information.
Completion of any other activities required to deliver finished piece parts to the specified quality levels on a timely basis.
Complies with all EHS and Quality procedures and policies.
Required QualificationsHigh School Diploma or local equivalent
Ability to learn packaging and small part assembly.
Proficient with computer programs like Microsoft Word, Excel
Ability to understand and interpret written technical information.
Demonstrated attention to detail and quality-minded work habits.
Demonstrated ability to learn multiple product lines.
Ability to communicate using English (or local language)
Ability to handle small, delicate parts (lamination, bonding layers utilizing epoxy)
Ability to multi-task and handle tooling weighing 25 lbs. or less
Ability to comfortably use chemicals such as IPA (Acetone & Epoxies)
Ability to operate comfortably using microscope to perform job related tasks.
Ability to perform detail- oriented work and complete projects on time.
Preferred Qualifications5 Plus years of manufacturing experience
Experience in creating and reviewing test documents.
Crafting semiconductor devices and products
Testing products for safety and Quality assurance standards
Experience working in a medical or other compliance regulated environment.
Experience in electronic assembly with knowledge of soldering technologies and processes.
Experience and/or knowledge with metal fabrication, machining and/or molding processes
Ability to work within a controlled environment (Clean Room) in manufacturing setting.
Medical Device Manufacturing Experience is a Plus
Machining experience such as Dicing or Grinding
