As an FAA Test Technician in training here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in our Aerospace business unit in Phoenix, AZ. You will be responsible for conducting tests and evaluations on propulsion systems and components. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the development and improvement of aviation technology. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team at the forefront of aerospace innovation.
You will report directly to our Production Supervisor or delegate, and you'll work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on Shift 3 (10:00pm-06:30am). You will be trained on 1st shift 6:00am-2pm till you have meat minimum skills to be moved to 3rd shift.
In this role, you will have a significant impact on our Aerospace business unit by conducting tests on propulsion systems and components. You will collaborate with engineers and other technicians to analyze test data and provide valuable insights for improving aviation technology. Lifting will exceed 30 Lbs. and/or repetitions of this, or less weights will be significant. Exposure to substantial machines, chemical, biological or other physical risks are anticipated.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• You will train along a seasoned technician, conducting tests on aircraft Propulsion, APU Or Gearbox systems and components
• Learn how to analyze test data and provide recommendations for improvements
• Learn how to collaborate with engineering and assembly teams to identify and resolve issues
• Ensure compliance with aviation regulations and safety standards
YOU MUST HAVE
• High school Diploma or GED
• Experience with test equipment, data analysis & mechanical tools
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work effectively in a team
• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment
