As a Controls Technician at Monster Energy, you'll be at the heart of our thrilling and fast‑paced manufacturing environment, where energy and innovation drive everything we do. Your role will involve maintaining and supporting our cutting‑edge automated manufacturing equipment, leveraging your expertise in industrial controls, electrical systems, and motion control to keep our operations running smoothly.
You’ll be the hero who troubleshoots and optimizes Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and integrated motion control systems, ensuring that our high‑speed manufacturing processes are always at peak performance. Your efforts will be crucial in minimizing downtime, maintaining the exceptional quality of our products, and ensuring we meet all safety, food safety, and regulatory standards.
The impact you’ll make:- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, controls, and automation systems to restore production equipment reliability.
- Diagnose and resolve Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and motion control faults to ensure stable machine operation.
- Maintain and support Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), servo drives, and integrated motion systems for consistent performance.
- Troubleshoot industrial control networks and remote I/O (Input/Output) systems to maintain communication integrity.
- Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and troubleshooting documentation to execute accurate repairs.
- Collaborate with mechanics and operations to resolve cross‑functional mechanical/electrical causes of equipment failures.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automation and controls software and hardware to prevent unplanned outages.
- Document troubleshooting actions, findings, and corrective measures to support accuracy, consistency, and traceability.
- Prefer a Bachelor's Degree in the field of -- Electrical Engineering or related field of study
- Additional Experience Desired:
Between 3-5 years of experience in an industrial maintenance or controls technician role. - Additional Experience Desired:
Between 3-5 years of experience in a food and beverage production environment preferred. - Computer Skills Desired: PLC programming and diagnostic software. Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

This position has an annual estimated salary of $29.00 - $39.00 per hour. The actual pay may vary depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location.
