Responsibilities- Chemical Strip Operator duties including waxing or waxing injection of parts per traveler requirements.
- Heat tint and burnout of parts.
- Visual inspection of parts for complete coating removal.
- Dry honing or grit blasting in an enclosed booth with protective equipment.
- Manual and chemical cleaning of discs.
- Submit acid samples to the lab twice a week and adjust tanks as directed.
- Maintain logbooks accurately and perform general departmental housekeeping.
- Sustain production standards and quality; adhere to Lean Manufacturing principles and 5S practices.
- Ensure safety, compliance with IPM/QPM, ISO quality requirements, and NADCAP requirements.
- Document travelers accurately after operations are performed.
- Move parts and materials to the next operation and perform minor maintenance on equipment as needed.
- Follow and promote Corporate Code of Ethical Standards and maintain punctual attendance.
- Previous light/medium industrial experience.
- Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints and in-process documents.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with a high level of ownership and accountability.
- Provides accurate feedback to the department supervisor regarding quality issues.
- Lean skills and ongoing process improvement mindset.
- Team-building skills.
- Must be fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
- High school diploma or equivalent; 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
