Post‑Harvest Lead
Location: Phoenix, AZ (Happy Valley Location)
Pay Range: $20.00/hr
Position Summary:
The Post‑Harvest Lead provides support to the Post‑Harvest Manager by maintaining product quality through the drying, trimming, bucking, sorting, and curing processes. Processing cannabis is a detail‑oriented job that requires hard work, passion, and a willingness to learn. Our goal is to process dried cannabis carefully and efficiently to keep production levels to satisfy the needs of our consumers.
- Lead all daily post‑harvest operations, including drying, curing, trimming, weighing, packaging, and labeling
- Lead, train, and mentor post‑harvest technicians, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and compliance
- Oversee hand trimming and trimming machinery, balancing efficiency with product quality
- Assist with Trimming to obtain quality outcome of product
- Verify and manage data collection across post‑harvest activities for accuracy and regulatory compliance
- Coordinate compliant plant waste handling, weighing, recording, and disposal
- Monitor product inspection and labeling, ensuring all packaged goods meet quality and brand standards
- Maintain strict cleanliness and sanitation protocols across post‑harvest areas, tools, and equipment
- Collaborate with cultivation and production management to align workflows and meet production targets
- Act as the primary point of contact between post‑harvest staff and leadership
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a production or agricultural environment
- Must have strong knowledge of weights, measures, and post‑harvest compliance practices
- Ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven setting
- Excellent organizational, communication, attention to detail, and problem‑solving skills
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Facility Agent Card (or equivalent license) if required by state regulations
- High School Diploma or GED
- Cannabis: 1 year (preferred)
- Stand dynamically for long periods without a break
- Ability to move quickly and accurately
- Use hands to type, pick, pinch with fingers, seize, hold, grasp, or turn with hands and perceive attributes of objects and materials such as size, shape, temperature, or texture, by touching with fingertips
- Maintain balance while walking, standing, or crouching
- Reach up and out with hands and arms
- Lift up to 10-40 pounds and carry a distance of one hundred feet
