Description/SummaryThe Strippit/Turret Punch Press Operator is responsible for programming and operating the Strippit Punch, ensuring parts meet fabrication, assembly, and customer requirements while maintaining quality standards.
Responsibilities- Program and operate Strippit Punch efficiently.
- Coordinate all activities required to layout work and set up appropriate machines or equipment per design specifications and published schedules.
- Implement all quality requirements and maintain control of non-conforming products per the Quality System.
- Identify, tag, and provide corrective action on rejectable items prior to submission to inspection.
- Apply problem-solving skills to address process issues.
- Understand tool dimensions and verify correct setups.
- Read and interpret blueprints, job packets, and work instructions.
- Efficiently utilize resources to minimize scrap, materials, and labor.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret written and verbal instructions, including blueprints.
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, percentages, and geometry.
- Ability to present information effectively and respond to questions from managers, supervisors, and employees.
- Knowledge of fabrication equipment, including Strippit Punch setup and operation.
- Ability to communicate in English and work toward Total Quality.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
- Experience in aerospace manufacturing industry preferred.
