Forklift Operator

Day shift – 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Week one:
Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday (48 hours)

Week two:
Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday (36 hours)

• Maintain and stage material with proper paperwork.
• Check billet/log availability for daily schedule and due dates.
• Verify proper  & selection of billets/logs for each order.
• Check and maintain ovens, load and unload ovens, and make hourly checks.
• Read and understand work instructions for extrusion presses and aging ovens.
• Empty scrap and chip hoppers as needed.
• Perform minor maintenance on forklift, check fluid levels, and general condition.
• Complete the "Lift truck operator’s daily inspection report".
• Check weight capacity for lifting.
