Position Summary:

This position is responsible for tasks required for assembling “memory foam” mattresses, toppers and/or pillows using established work instructions within a team environment.

$17.00/hr - $18.00/hr

• Performs all duties according to established safety, quality, and efficiency procedures; and maintains workstation in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
• Assembles production units by established work instructions using a variety of tools and machinery (automated and non-automated).
• Process foam products per task such as but not limited to component preparation,, gluing, laminating, coating, applying initial covering, applying final coverings, feeding machines, packaging, and preparing for storage or shipment.
• Specific tasks are assigned and cross-training to other assembly tasks is required.
• Follow all safety policies, protocols, procedures.
• Other reasonable duties as assigned.

• Basic English reading/writing skills, preferred.
• Work experience within a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Willing to work overtime, longer days, and some weekends as needed.
• Ability to follow directions and work well in a team.
• Ability to interpret and translate standard operating procedures.
• Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.
• Ability to stand and walk for a minimum of 10 hours per day or longer in overtime situations.
• Ability to lift product or raw materials up to 40 lbs. multiple times per hour (heavy loads must be team‑lifted).
• Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to adapt to and work in a fast‑paced environment.
