SAFETY ENGINEER
Location: Phoenix, AZ 85085
Work Type: Contractor - 100% Onsite 12‑month contract
Shift: Monday‑Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Bill Rate: $30.00 to $38.00 per hour
We are seeking a detail‑oriented Safety Engineer to join our team onsite in Phoenix, AZ. This role is critical in ensuring workplace safety and compliance through regular audits, documentation review, and communication with internal teams and clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of 6S principles, OSHA standards, and be comfortable working in a fast‑paced, physically active environment.
Qualifications- Certification: OSHA
30 or higher (must provide proof) - Experience: 1‑2 years in a safety‑related role
- Familiarity with 6S audits and safety documentation
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Effective communication and teamwork
- Conduct daily audits of assigned areas and tool groups to ensure 6S compliance.
- Verify proper barricading, signage, and hazard‑free work zones.
- Review required safety documentation for completeness.
- Validate Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) devices and interlock defeat tags against Pre‑Task Plans (PTPs).
- Report unresolved safety issues to the Ramp Safety Coordinator.
- Participate in incident investigations as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and submit end‑of‑shift reports using provided templates.
- Communicate professionally with customer teams and internal staff.

Estimated Max Rate: $35.00
