Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of production, including daily planning, meeting output targets, managing costs, improving first-pass yield (FPY), and maintaining safety and quality standards.
  • Ensure high-quality output while optimizing costs, resources, and adherence to best safety practices.
  • Lead by example to position the organization as a leader in World-Class Manufacturing.
  • Recruit, coach, and develop large teams of both salaried and hourly employees, fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
  • Drive compliance with safety and environmental standards.
  • Champion continuous improvement in safety, quality, cost, efficiency, and productivity. Provide feedback to senior leadership and leverage industry benchmarks to adopt best practices.
  • Support new product launches and material introductions by collaborating with design teams, establishing process plans, managing budgets, and tracking project timelines to ensure timely delivery.
  • Implement high standards in process control, key production metrics, consistent documentation, and 5S initiatives to maintain operational excellence.
  • Implement contingency plans to address any production disruptions, ensuring minimal impact on operations.
  • Lead the execution of departmental strategies and initiatives that align with overall business objectives.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion within budget constraints.
  • Collaborate effectively across departments, including Product, Finance, Engineering, and Quality, to ensure alignment across the business.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8–10 years of experience in high-volume manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong leadership and decision‑making capabilities with a focus on team development and engagement.
  • Proven experience in introducing new products and materials into the production process.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate proactively across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to excel under pressure, prioritize competing demands, and meet tight deadlines with consistent follow-through.
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency and drive to achieve results.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proven experience implementing Lean practices to reduce waste, boost efficiency, and drive continuous improvement.
