Description

As a Street Sweeper Supervisor, you will play a crucial role leading a team that maintains the cleanliness and appearance of our customers' properties. In addition to supervisory responsibilities, you will participate in operational duties alongside our Street Sweeper Operators.

Supervisor Duties
  • Ensure that all street sweeping operations are carried out according to required standards, meeting customer expectations.
  • Lead and motivate a team of Street Sweeper Operators, ensuring they understand their responsibilities and are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and safety briefings to promote a safe and productive work environment.
  • Provide guidance, training, and coaching to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Schedule and assign daily work orders and tasks to team members, ensuring thorough and timely cleaning of all designated areas.
  • Field unsafe situations or service calls from the team before they attempt service and any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage. Escalating significant situations to leadership.
  • Collaborate with leadership to evaluate team performance and make recommendations for improvements.
Operator Duties
  • Operate our state-of-the-art street sweeper equipment to remove debris, litter, and dirt from streets, parking lots, neighborhoods, construction sites, road maintenance projects, and other areas.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to guarantee the well-being of yourself, your team, and the public while operating the street sweeper.
  • Perform pre and post-trip inspections, ensure the vehicle operates correctly when in service, and conduct basic vehicle maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
  • Communicate with the team to schedule routine maintenance and repairs, ensuring the equipment is always in top-notch condition.
  • Comfortably use mobile phone software applications to maintain accurate records of routes, cleaning activities, and equipment maintenance.
  • Participate in all scheduled trainings, meetings, and safety briefings.
  • Provide yard support services, such as cleaning and organizing.
Qualifications
  • Previous operator experience: 1+ years
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role, demonstrating the ability to lead, motivate, and coordinate a team.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively manage and communicate with team members, customers, and management.
  • Proven ability to use good judgment when adhering to policies and procedures, including safety protocols.
  • Leadership and organizational skills to effectively schedule and manage team activities.
  • Ability to maintain a positive team atmosphere, ensuring that everyone feels valued and motivated.
Job Details
  • Competitive Compensation:
    We value our team members' contributions and offer competitive pay.
  • Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour (based on experience)
  • Full-Time: 40 hours per week expected (depending on sweep schedule)
  • Overtime:
    Not guaranteed and must be approved in advance.
  • Night

    Work Schedule:

    You're flexible to shifts starting early evening and finishing early morning.
  • Location:

    Must reliably commute and return to our North Phoenix vehicle yard for shift start and finishes.
