About the Role:

Visory is seeking an Engagement Manager to serve as the vital link between clients and our service delivery teams, ensuring project success through expert management of client relationships, expectations, resources, and deliverables. In this role, you will drive project outcomes, solve complex problems, identify growth opportunities, and embody leadership and deep industry expertise. You will work closely with internal consultants, project managers, sales, and executive leadership to ensure quality delivery, continuous value creation, and expansion of client relationships.

What

You Will Be DOING:

Client Relationship & Portfolio Management: Build trusted client relationships, manage expectations, resolve escalations, and ensure satisfaction across a portfolio of engagements while maintaining strong communication and visibility into delivery performance.

Project & Delivery Oversight: Partner with sales to define scope, objectives, timelines, and budgets; oversee multiple concurrent projects; ensure alignment with contracts; and maintain high-quality delivery standards including QA and UAT as needed.

Team Leadership & Development: Manage and coordinate internal consultants, project managers, and coordinators; provide performance feedback; conduct one-on-ones; foster team engagement; and elevate issues appropriately to leadership.

Resource & Capacity Planning: Assign and balance resources across projects, manage utilization and capacity planning, and ensure teams are properly supported to meet client needs.

Sales Partnership & Practice Growth: Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities, collaborate on proposals and business development calls, and contribute to the creation and marketing of new service offerings.

Performance Metrics & Reporting: Measure and report on key service delivery KPIs including book-to-bill timelines, onboarding cycle time, project margin variance, utilization, and overall portfolio health. Provide concise updates to practice leadership.

Market Development & Thought Leadership: Participate in industry round tables, develop white papers, deliver market presentations, and pursue speaking opportunities at conferences to elevate organizational visibility and expertise.

Documentation & Continuous Improvement: Maintain engagement documentation, contribute to firm-wide knowledge resources, and incorporate industry-leading practices into delivery checkpoints and reviews.

What You Will NEED:

Experience & Background: Minimum 7 years of experience in consulting, project management, or a related field, with at least 6 years of experience across Information Technology, Cloud, Transformation, Machine Learning/AI, Strategy and Governance, Assessment, or Cybersecurity. Background in professional services organizations preferred.

Education &

Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required;
Master’s degree preferred. Industry certifications or advanced education preferred (Master’s degree may substitute for certifications).

Leadership & Delivery Expertise: Proven ability to manage multiple projects and cross-functional teams in dynamic environments while driving high-quality client outcomes.

Industry Knowledge: Expertise in one or more industries such as Wealth Management, Construction, Private Cloud, Cybersecurity, Accounting, or Risk & Compliance.

Project Management Tools & Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools such as Jira.

Analytical & Problem-Solving

Skills:

Strong analytical thinking with creativity and the ability to address complex business and technical challenges.

Communication & Executive Presence: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including client presentations, stakeholder updates, and contributions to professional materials.

Work Style & Professionalism: Self-starter who is adaptable, empathetic, objective, and results-oriented, with the ability to manage competing priorities and travel as needed.
