Overview

  • An industry‑leading design–build and construction management firm is seeking an experienced Senior Scheduler to oversee scheduling operations across complex industrial and mission‑critical projects.
  • This is a senior leadership opportunity for a scheduling professional with deep technical knowledge and strong communication skills, capable of driving programme performance, supporting project teams, and influencing project outcomes from preconstruction through completion.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development, coordination, and maintenance of detailed project schedules for large, multi‑phase construction programmes.
  • Establish baseline schedules in collaboration with site teams, engineering, and trade partners, ensuring alignment with contractual milestones.
  • Monitor project progress, analyse variances, and proactively identify potential risks or opportunities.
  • Prepare executive‑level reports and schedule narratives for leadership and client review.
  • Support proposal teams in defining project strategy, phasing, and sequencing during preconstruction.
  • Leadership & Oversight
  • Manage and mentor scheduling staff across multiple projects, ensuring consistent standards and best practices.
  • Provide guidance on schedule logic, critical path, and float management to project and site teams.
  • Review and validate schedule updates prepared by internal teams and subcontractors, ensuring accuracy and realism.
  • Facilitate regular schedule coordination meetings and ensure transparent communication across departments.
  • Technical Expertise
  • Utilise advanced scheduling tools (Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project) to develop cost‑ and resource‑loaded programmes.
  • Apply earned value management principles to track performance and progress.
  • Ensure schedules integrate key disciplines including civil, structural, architectural, and MEP scopes.
  • Develop construction sequencing and workflow strategies to maximise efficiency and safety.
  • Continuous Improvement & Risk Management
  • Evaluate schedule trends to identify systemic issues or performance deviations.
  • Propose and implement corrective measures in coordination with project leadership.
  • Actively participate in lessons learned reviews and contribute to the refinement of company scheduling processes.
  • Support ongoing training and professional development for scheduling personnel.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in construction scheduling within industrial, data centre, or large commercial sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience managing scheduling staff and leading schedule strategy across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Expert knowledge of Primavera P6 and strong proficiency in Microsoft Project.
  • Comprehensive understanding of all major construction disciplines (CSA and MEP).
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, capable of producing clear executive reports and presenting findings to senior leadership.
  • Working knowledge of earned value management, manpower loading, and cost integration techniques.
