Animal Care and Control is seeking a well-versed Veterinary Clinic Manager who is ready to hit the ground running. As Clinic Manager, you will lead a team of professional staff. We will look to you to help inspire, motivate, and encourage our team while providing care to the animals in our population. This position requires the employee to be in the office and or customer-facing for all hours worked.

- Three years of animal welfare and control experience, including two years as a supervisor
- Bachelor's degree in Animal Welfare, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field
- Postgraduate degrees or professional-level related experience may substitute for the education or experience on a year-for-year basis
- Must possess or have the ability to obtain by the time of hire a valid Arizona Driver's License
- Must be willing and able to participate on the euthanasia team as required
- Experience working in an animal shelter or related environment
- Certified Veterinary Practice Manager Designation
- Oversee all medical operations across two shelter clinics and animal health for all offsite locations, including the scheduling and administering of all spays and neuters, medication treatment, health assessments, euthanasia, and disease mitigation in compliance with animal welfare best practices
- Ensure the quality of programs and services offered meet service requirements, and are in accordance with the County and Department's procedures and philosophy
- Develop and implement operational improvements and ensure that the clinical team meets the needs of the program by identifying problems, researching viable alternatives, evaluating pros and cons, while making recommendations and providing cost/benefit analysis for management
