About the RoleThe Director of Operations is responsible for the strategic and day‑to‑day leadership of all manufacturing and shipping operations, ensuring that customer needs are responded to quickly and effectively, and that the company's established goals are met.
Responsibilities- Provide visible leadership for all areas of the operation, including delivering products within needed metrics (on time, on budget, within quality standards), supporting new product introduction, meeting customer requirements, fulfilling required turnaround times, meeting inventory targets, and enacting productivity projects that continually improve the production capabilities and cost structure of the business.
- Guide the planning and execution of monitoring our key metrics, headcount alignment, and operational strategy.
- Solve company-wide pain points, challenges & identify areas of opportunity.
- Drive ownership throughout the organization, including leading a process improvement culture on the shop floor.
- Create a clear supply chain management strategy to meet profitability improvement objectives.
- Lead annual planning and budgeting process for Operations, collaborating across the organization to find new and creative ways to take costs out of the company.
- Provide leadership and necessary direction to ensure the continuous improvement of the site and overall performance, enabling achievement or exceedance of objectives and goals.
- Provide mentorship and foster leadership development within the team; coach, develop, and promote direct reports into progressively responsible/advanced roles, as well as identify potential successors.
- Maintain a safe and healthy working environment by eliminating hazards, providing training to employees, and promoting a culture of safety awareness.
- Encourage open and honest employee communication.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, business administration, or finance.
- Passion for excellence with a bias for action.
- Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills.
- 5+ years of experience in a Management role.
- Proven strategic planning and budgeting experience.
- Demonstrated experience in setting, monitoring, and meeting quarterly and annual goals.
- Experience building and scaling teams and systems.
- Problem‑solving skills.
- You must be authorized to work in the United States and, as applicable, you must be eligible to receive authorization for access to controlled equipment and technology.
We offer a salary range of $150,000-$180,000, incentive compensation, and future company equity. Additionally, we offer a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, FSA/HSA plans, life insurance, a 401(k) plan with employer match, and profit sharing.
