Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our team. The Project Manager will oversee the successful execution of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, organization, and communication skills to coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Project Planning:
    • Attend turnover meetings with estimating, superintendents, and foremen.
    • Prepare project documentation for purchasing and field teams, including active codes.
    • Develop schedules of values on AIA forms with assistance from estimating as needed.
  • Project Coordination:
    • Review and submit project submittals, ensuring approval from superintendents and other key stakeholders.
    • Direct coordinators to write and manage purchase orders and subcontract agreements, including change orders.
    • Prepare and update expediting reports and distribute to the field team.
  • Financial Management:
    • Prepare monthly billings after client or general contractor review.
    • Manage job costs with foremen weekly and prepare monthly and quarterly projections.
    • Address financial issues such as back charges, scope changes, and potential disputes with supervisors.
  • Field Oversight:
    • Conduct site visits weekly to ensure project schedules and quality standards are met.
    • Attend all on‑site meetings and provide support to foremen for productivity improvements.
    • Maintain positive relationships with customers to ensure future business opportunities.
  • Documentation and Communication:
    • Prepare RFIs, change orders, subcontract change orders, and start‑up books for equipment.
    • Coordinate operation and maintenance manuals and project start‑ups with relevant teams.
    • Review correspondence related to delays, claims, or other issues with supervisors.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Collaborate with the service department for start‑ups.
    • Support company needs with additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in project management within the construction or mechanical contracting industry.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, with knowledge of Procore preferred.
  • A proactive approach to problem‑solving and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • This is an on‑site position. Remote work is not available.
  • Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
