DEPOT MANAGER – Mini Melts USA
Base pay range: $55,000.00/yr - $65,000.00/yr
Job OverviewWe are a growing company expanding across the United States. We seek a Depot Manager to oversee facility operations, fleet, staff, and customer service, ensuring safe, efficient delivery of cryogenically frozen ice cream products.
Responsibilities- Manage overall depot operations, including equipment, inventory, and customer service.
- Lead and develop a team of delivery drivers, fostering moral character and adherence to company standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Handle route assignments, scheduling, and equipment inspections to meet customer expectations.
- Communicate and resolve sales opportunities, service issues, and equipment maintenance.
- Track and report inventory, invoices, and maintenance records to Central Office.
- Coordinate with regional managers and support overall company objectives.
- Travel between depot and satellite offices as needed.
- Establish and maintain a clean, safe work environment with strong work ethic.
- Manage and build a united team of delivery drivers and encourage good moral character.
- Manage route drivers' delivery of products, preventive maintenance of equipment while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of invoices, purchase orders, and all documentation required by the Central Office.
- Develop a deep understanding of Mini Melts products, equipment, and policies.
- Plan, distribute, monitor, and follow up daily route assignments per company standards.
- Coordinate, schedule, and deliver equipment as requested, ensuring operational readiness.
- Communicate and follow up on sales opportunities, problems at customers' locations, repairs, freezer swaps, and safety issues reported by drivers.
- Order, maintain, and monitor all product inventories.
- Monitor and follow up with fleet maintenance.
- Teach and manage employees to follow guidelines and policies.
- Manage end‑of‑day check‑in process.
- Travel to and from Mini Melts satellite offices.
- Associate’s degree in Business Management or related field, or equivalent experience with 5+ years of operational or fleet management.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean 2‑year driving record.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel.
- Outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
- Background check clearance.
- Understanding of OSHA Requirements and DOT Regulations.
