Canine Coach (Entry‑Level) at Dogtopia –
Location:
Arcadia, Historic Phoenix, Oro Valley, Tanque Verde, Tempe, Uptown. Job Type: Part‑Time. Pay: $15–$18/hour plus Time & Attendance Bonus. Join one of the fastest‑growing dog daycare and wellness brands and begin your leadership journey.
- Engage, supervise, and care for dogs in a safe and fun playroom environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and support wellness standards for our pups.
- Use your people and leadership skills to communicate with pet parents and team members.
- Work closely with management to ensure top‑tier customer and canine experiences.
- Start as a Canine Coach and demonstrate leadership potential; we welcome team leads, shift leads, or anyone with supervisory experience in retail, food service, hospitality, or animal care.
- Those who show reliability, initiative, and leadership ability will be prioritized for rapid development into Store Lead, Assistant Manager, and General Manager roles.

- Maintain control of a group of open‑play dogs using positive reinforcement techniques.
- Keep the playroom clean.
- Lift up to 40 pounds.
- Be able to stand, stoop, squat frequently, and be mobile on your feet throughout the shift.
- Know that dogs can be loud, and sometimes the playrooms are noisy.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Leadership experience:
Team Lead, Shift Lead, or similar preferred. - High energy, positive attitude, and passion for dogs.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to spend up to 100% of work time standing.
- Ability to work flexible days and hours, including holidays and weekends.
- Ability to work cohesively with others in a fun, fast‑paced environment.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to "own" a room of dogs.
- All rooms are equipped with cameras for pet parents to stay engaged.
- Caring for all furry friends as if they were a part of your family.
- Keep data accurate with current dogs.
- Engage, play, and enjoy the furry friends.
