Summary
Leading and managing a project team, with responsibilities including cost control, contract administration, procurement, estimating, pay requests, change orders, requests for information, scheduling, submittals, and safety controls to deliver high-quality projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Review/approve project on-site setup, including facilities layout, forming systems and equipment.
- Monitor receipt of subcontractor bonds and review subcontractor management, change order processing and shop drawings.
- Understand projected costs, contingent liabilities, and potential savings/profits.
- Establish and maintain relationships with owners, design teams and subcontractors while enhancing Haydon’s visibility in the community.
- Understand project processes and their role in successful project completion.
- Planning/Organizing - Prioritizes and plans work activities; manages time and resources; sets realistic goals.
- Innovation - Demonstrates original thinking and resourcefulness; proposes improvements and new ideas.
- Design - Applies design principles and attention to detail.
- Communications - Strong verbal and written communication; effective listening.
- Job Knowledge – Knowledge of construction safety, OSHA requirements, critical path method scheduling, and plans/specs interpretation.
- Leadership - Builds confidence, motivates others, accepts feedback, and recognizes others.
- Quantity - Meets productivity standards and deadlines.

Education and/or
Experience:
Bachelor's degree; 7+ years in construction management, architecture or related field. Experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in P6 scheduling, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, On Center OST, MS Project, and HCSS software. High energy level and ability to inspire a team. Knowledge of government processes and regulations.
