Working as a Site Manager, you will provide on‑site coordination for all phases of the construction project. Your responsibilities will include budget, schedule, subcontractor management, inspections, quality control, and job site safety.
Responsibilities- Takes ownership of all field activities from start‑up to completion, including safety, quality, schedule, planning, jobsite logistics, and subcontractor coordination.
- Maintains and tracks overall project schedule; creates a two‑to‑three week look‑ahead to manage delivery on time.
- Provides real‑time schedule data to PM/Scheduler.
- Ensures site safety requirements are met at all times; stops work when infractions occur and counsels subcontractors and team members on violations.
- Trains project team members on Gray software such as CMO, Navisworks, Bluebeam, Concur, E‑Time, and GoGray.
- Conducts site and weekly meetings to coordinate subcontractor activities so all teams work cooperatively.
- Prepares monthly project reports tracking safety, schedule, subcontractor performance, quality, budget, and customer relations.
- Collaborates with the PM team to ensure timely buy‑out of subcontracts and procurement schedule compliance.
- Leads, teaches, coaches, and trains subordinates on professional contractual relationships.
- Demonstrates firm but fair leadership in all interactions.
- Establishes and manages a jobsite safety culture per Gray’s safety program.
- Leads by example, holds the site team accountable to Gray policies, and assists them in achieving goals.
- Facilitates growth of team members through mentoring.
- Sets up and closes out construction sites.
- Walks the project daily to verify safety, quality, and schedule compliance.
- Communicates early and consistently with project team, customers, and subcontractors.
- Conducts required meetings for subcontractor coordination.
- Reviews all drawings—shop, architectural, structural—when issued to the field and maintains a current set.
- Ensures the project is built per plans and specifications, and in accordance with the contract.
- Reviews project budget with the Project Manager regularly; stays aware of budget impacts from the site team.
- Assists in developing scopes of work for approval.
- Evaluates potential subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers during pre‑award meetings.
- Prepares reports such as cost to complete, monthly billings, and status updates.
- Executes project closeout and punch‑list procedures.
- Owns overall coordination and management of the project team to ensure timely buy‑out and procurement.
- Assumes schedule ownership after mobilization to meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 10+ years of related construction experience.
- Experience overseeing field activities on large projects (manufacturing, food & beverage, automotive, distribution, mission critical).
- Proven leadership in managing and directing on‑site project teams to successful completion.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, financial reports, and contract documents.
- Strong people‑management skills.
- Energetic, self‑motivated, team‑oriented, and embody Gray’s core values.
- Basic computer skills: word processing, spreadsheets, email, Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, SharePoint.
This position requires frequent travel throughout the United States and, occasionally, outside the U.S. The selected candidate can live anywhere in the USA but must travel to project sites per Gray’s travel policy.

Physical Demands & Work EnvironmentFrequent standing, walking, sitting, using hands and arms, reaching, and talking or hearing. Regular climbing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching. Must lift or move up to 25 lbs routinely and occasionally up to 100 lbs. Vision: accurate near and distant vision. Exposure to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, outside weather. Possible high precarious places, fumes, airborne particles, extreme temperatures, electrical shock, explosives, vibration.
Noise: moderate to loud. Overtime may be required.

- Conducts hiring, training, performance appraisal, rewards, discipline, complaint resolution, and problem resolution.
