Job Overview
As the floating on‑call Building Maintenance Technician, you will maintain coverage at various high‑rise communities by partnering with the Building Engineer and maintenance teams to ensure the building and facility are livable, safe and compliant by performing regular inspections, preventive, routine maintenance and repairs.
Compensation$25+ per hour. Salary or wage will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities.
Your Responsibilities- Ensure building and systems are maintained properly and in safe working order (i.e., mechanical systems, electrical, fire safety, access control, HVAC/chiller boiler, sprinkler systems, etc).
- Maintain recreational amenities (i.e., pool and spa, lounge areas, dog park, common areas).
- Assist in maintaining the common areas by picking up any trash and debris.
- Conduct routine inspections.
- Manage preventive inspection and maintenance schedule and corresponding work.
- Keep accurate operational, maintenance and repair logs.
- Help coordinate and perform modifications and improvements.
- Ensure emergency maintenance situations are handled timely and properly.
- Maintain an emergency response plan, including vendors and other necessary contacts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of building mechanics, operations methods and operating requirements (i.e., plumbing, HVAC systems, electrical systems, rooftop pool maintenance, etc).
- Organized, with the ability to prioritize and adjust to incoming demands.
- Able to use tools, equipment, and chemicals safely.
- Able to troubleshoot problems and identify solutions in a timely and effective manner.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Superb attention to detail.
- 2+ years of commercial, residential, high‑rise, or HOA maintenance experience (required).
- Trade school experience (preferred).
- Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to perform in various weather conditions (i.e., rain, heat, cold, wind, etc).
- Must be able to respond to on‑site emergencies on nights, holidays, and/or weekends.
Various high‑rise communities throughout Phoenix, Scottsdale and Tempe.
Work HoursOn‑call floater; hours will vary.
