Position: Auto Service Specialist III (Deer Valley)

Summary

This position covers maintenance, inspection and repairs on transportation equipment including equipment tire service, DOT inspection, and Preventative Maintenance (PM) Service (Lubeman) specialties. Performs other duties as assigned. Out of town work may be required.

The work schedule for this position is Monday - Friday 1:00pm-9:00pm.

Note:

This position will NOT perform heavy equipment repair work and will be restricted from performing the following:

  • Aerial repairs and inspections
  • Hydraulic Repairs
  • Air brake system repairs
  • Heavy duty brakes and related components
Minimum Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or GED.
  • Pass CAST test.
  • Applicants must have a Class A CDL permit at the time of application and a clean driving record.
    • If the applicant is awarded the position, they must obtain a valid Class A CDL license (for manual transmission with no mechanical restrictions (i.e., airbrakes)) prior to their official transfer/start date.
  • Pass APS physical exam (drug test, etc.).
  • Pass strength & agility/dexterity test.
  • Knowledge in all aspects of light duty truck maintenance/ repair.
  • 5 years' experience as an Auto Mechanic or 3 years' experience as an Auto Mechanic plus one of the following: completed a qualified Auto Mechanic Apprenticeship program, an Automotive AAS degree from a community college or have graduated from a Certified Automotive Technical School.
  • Candidate must successfully pass all testing requirements on written, hands-on and oral interview.
  • Must live within a reasonable distance.
  • This position requires working with aerial equipment, which has weight restrictions of 300 lbs or less.
  • The established headquarters for this position is subject to relocation to the HUBwest Service Center a facility that will be located 38 miles west of downtown Phoenix, on a date to be determined by the Company.
