Job Summary

Performs a variety of general, mechanical, and preventive maintenance as well as inspections, servicing and overhaul of equipment and facilities.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist in departmental planning for operation, maintenance, and repair of facility’s mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Assist in maintenance and reporting of the facility’s buildings and grounds.
Qualifications
  • Ability to read in English to follow oral and/or written instructions.
  • Ability to gain knowledge of boiler systems, water treatment, code restrictions, HVAC equipment and auxiliaries (pumps, valves, controls, computer systems).
  • Ability to learn plumbing, painting, carpentry, maintenance and the tools and materials used in preventive maintenance of the facility.
  • Knowledge of building controls.
Minimum Requirements
  • Education:

    High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
  • Certification:
    Boiler Operator Training required or must be obtained within 90 days.
