Facilities Maintenance Technician

Position Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairing and preserving the physical assets of the warehouse while supporting the Maintenance Manager with additional tasks. This role ensures a clean and safe environment for employees and visitors and performs assigned duties to maintain Distribution Center facilities, including equipment, vehicles, and general maintenance activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform general carpentry tasks to maintain facility structures.
  • Operate and maintain various hand and power tools safely.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems (110V and 480V).
  • Weld components and structures as needed.
  • Maintain and repair forklifts to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Apply HVAC theory and practical skills for system maintenance.
  • Execute facility maintenance tasks to preserve building integrity.
  • Paint and finish drywall surfaces for repairs and improvements.
  • Repair and maintain dock doors for proper functionality.
  • Inspect, repair, and maintain warehouse racking systems.
  • Operate floor scrubbers to maintain clean floors.
  • Document facility repairs and maintenance according to assigned schedules.
  • Assist with general maintenance duties as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
  • Identify and report maintenance issues or emergencies promptly for resolution.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area free of debris.
  • Conduct all operations in compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Promote and maintain a safe work environment at all times.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as required.
Qualifications
  • Education
    :
    High School Diploma or GED equivalent. General maintenance experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or industrial setting preferred. 1–2 years of forklift operation experience in a fast‑paced warehouse environment.
  • Computer Skills
    :
    Experience in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Certificates and Licenses
    :
    None Required.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities
    :
    This position will not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Compensation

Pay Range: $20.00–$26.00 per hour. Overtime pay is available for eligible, non‑exempt Team Members. Reimbursement for expenses as required by applicable law and Company policy. Retail, Guest Services, and Distribution Center Team Members are eligible to receive a team bonus based on meeting specific goals and KPI’s.
