Ensure the safety of team members and customers. Manage staff to hit project deadlines, quality and budget. Work closely with customers and the team to maximize satisfaction. Keep the team productive with efficient scheduling, focus and top‑quality delivery.
HIGH PAYOFF ACTIVITIES Ensure Safety of Team Members and Customers- Make safety a priority in work decisions.
- Identify and address safety violations as a teaching tool.
- Identify and correct hazardous conditions on the jobsite, keep it clean and organized.
- Ensure pre‑design is collaborated with crews for correct installations to reduce rework.
- Schedule material orders and gear/fixture releases to arrive per 4‑week plan.
- Daily review of completed tasks and installed units against production rates and 4‑week schedule, e.g., weekly cost‑code production units and hrs.
- Review submittal packages for correct planning of rough and trim.
- Participate in pre‑construction meeting with PM and Superintendent.
- Review job plans/specs with PM and Superintendent – lay‑out, equipment, manpower.
- Ensure change order (COR) info reaches PM by shift end; only proceed with written approval.
- Evaluate manpower skill sets and join performance discussions with GF/Superintendent.
- Develop crews to maximize efficiency and cut quality–control mistakes.
- Verify installations meet quality, timeliness and code per Architect/Designer & AHJ.
- Ensure installs match RFI, SKE directives, and delta revisions.
- Identify GC’s major tasks for next week – 7‑day look‑ahead.
- Draft crew and sub‑crew lists weekly for major tasks using K2 4‑week schedule and whiteboard.
- Coordinate 4‑week schedule with GC and trades; flag conflicts immediately.
- Support prefab to raise consistency and cut field labor.
- Issue written RFI on project conflict or discrepancy right away.
- Maintain friendly relationships with inspectors, clients, employees and future clients.
- Clarify directives of product install per engineered drawings and internal design.
- Audit installs – find efficiencies, suggest improvements to superintendent.
- Complete ≥32 hrs CE in leadership/track certificates.
- Coach field employees on correction, speed, efficiency.
- Timely submission of miscellaneous paperwork to admin team.
- Coordinate with HR on crew items on your site.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Proficient computer skills – MS Office, Plan Grid, Docu Sign, electronic scheduling, good English – verbal & written.
- Good trade & NEC knowledge.
- Mechanically inclined.
- Team player with customer & people skills.
- Read blueprints & technical materials both hard copy & electronic.
- Use & train hand & power tools proficiently.
- Use & train test meters & diagnostic equipment proficiently.
- Good analytical & problem‑solving skills.
- Proficient training & bending conduit ½″–2″.
- Skilled & training & running conduit ½″–4″.
- Able to inspect & coach setting of switch gear, panels & other distribution equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 5 yrs commercial/industrial electrical experience.
- At least 6 months field supervisor experience.
- Completion of formal apprenticeship preferred.
- Healthcare experience in hospitals/medical facilities with ICRA compliance qualifications.
- Must see color to discern color‑coded wiring.
- Must bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, reach overhead – all extended periods of time.
- Must be willing to work both indoors and outdoors at all times of the year.
- Able to climb ladders (all types) and work from scaffolds and lifts.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 51 lbs unassisted.
