Overview

A Janitorial Supervisor at Velociti Services is responsible for leading a team of cleaners in their cleaning tasks. The Janitorial Supervisor is to ensure all work areas are cleaned by cleaners to Velociti Services and client standards, be responsive to clients' enquiries and specific requests, and communicate clients' cleaning requests to their teams.

Responsibilities
  • Supervision of all cleaning staff focusing on their performance in terms of standards of cleanliness and their behavior whilst on duty
  • Excellent communication skills in speaking, writing, and listening
  • Good interpersonal attributes, approachable and able to get along easily with people
  • Outstanding organization and coordination of both humans and their activities
  • Ensuring that a best‑in‑class cleaning service is delivered to all areas of the worksite/building
  • Reviewing work schedules
  • Keeping track of inventory, ordering of cleaning materials/supplies and equipment
  • Monitoring all cleaning activities
  • Ensuring all staff are aware of the Health and Safety policies and procedures
  • Quickly resolving disputes between staff
  • Training new employees
  • Filling in / general cleaning as needed
  • Communicating with management
  • Resolving any complaints and conflicts
  • Discipline and reward employees
  • Maintaining good relationships with customers
  • Conduct worksite inspections
  • Other duties as assigned or requested
Qualifications
  • Team player with a positive attitude and ability to maintain morale to a team
  • Previous experience in a cleaning environment
  • Previous experience in managing a team
  • Ability to implement and adhere to standards and procedures
  • Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to process negative feedback and remain professional
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Attention to detail

  • Accountability and dependability in all that you do
  • A strong commitment to company service values
  • High school graduate or higher preferred
  • Valid driver's license and MVR required
  • Time management – organizing, planning, and prioritizing

Physical Requirements
  • Lift boxes and packages weighing up to 60 pounds
  • Lift, bend, squat, and stretch to move boxes, parcels, and shipments
  • Climb small to medium flights of stairs multiple times a day
  • Standing for extended periods of time
