Position: Forecasting/ Supply Chain Intern
PING, Inc., maker of PING golf equipment, is seeking a Supply Chain Intern for the summer that will gain exposure to each of the departments within Supply Chain (Procurement, Logistics, and Planning). Projects will be assigned requiring data analysis along with information gathering from various sources and developing tools to assist Supply Chain personnel with enhanced decision making. Targeting Supply Chain majors.

This position requires the intern to reside in the Phoenix Metro Area.

(This position will work roughly 40 hours per week)

Prospective projects include:

* Generate Reporting/Analysis using Power BI to help Supply Chain personnel more efficiently analyze the business.

* Help establish component-level forecast reporting.

* Research and test AI/machine learning forecast modeling solutions within John Galt Atlas platform for review by Forecasting team.

* Other projects to be assigned as needed.

Learning Outcomes:

* Exposure to the daily work activity conducted within the Supply Chain (Procurement, Logistics, Planning).

* Project assignments associated with conducting data analysis and organizing data into a usable format that can be utilized by Supply Chain personnel to enhance decision making.

* For each project completed, Intern will be expected to present to Supply Chain Management project findings with recommended solutions or next steps.

Training Intern will receive:

* How to break down a project into logical working steps.

* How to effectively find information through people (asking thoughtful questions) and company resources (tools).

* How to effectively prepare/present information to Mgt. that delivers a tangible result.

Qualifications:

* Minimum 2 years course work in Supply Chain Management or related field.

* Expertise in Excel, Mathematics or Statistical analysis.

* Knowledge of Power BI preferred.

* Ability to prioritize tasks, self-start and hit deadlines.

* Able to multi-task and handle multiple projects.

* Ability to make presentations to Management.

* Excellent attendance.
