Overview
The Arizona Center for Law in the Public Interest seeks a recent law school graduate for the Stan Marks Attorney Fellowship in Phoenix, Arizona. This individual will help to develop, research, and litigate the Center’s portfolio of public interest impact cases.
The Arizona Center for Law in the Public Interest is a private, non-profit, public interest law firm that has been dedicated to ensuring government accountability and protecting the rights of Arizonans since 1974. Attorneys at the Center advocate before state and federal courts, administrative agencies, and other governmental decision-makers. The Center’s clients are typically groups or individuals who lack the power or resources to protect their rights.
Our areas of focus include government accountability, education finance reform, clean air and water, healthcare and disability advocacy, campaign finance reform, foster care reform, clean energy, the protection of public lands and natural resources, and voting rights and the protection of democracy. The Stan Marks Attorney Fellowship is focused on introducing recent law school graduates to the world of public interest litigation and on developing talented and passionate attorneys in the public interest field. The Fellow will work with the Center’s staff, as well as attorneys from outside firms and other public interest organizations, to develop and bring impactful litigation. This fellowship is a one- to two-year position, with a second year contingent upon performance and the needs of the individual and the Center.
Eligible candidates will have graduated law school in the past five years (0-5 years of experience). Candidates must be admitted to practice law in the state of Arizona or willing to become admitted.
Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis. The position has a prospective start date of September 2026.

Salary is $67,200 annually. Bar dues and CLE registration costs will be covered by the Center. Competitive health and dental insurance are provided.
