- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited and American Bar Association (ABA) approved law school
- Three years of experience as an attorney practicing criminal law or six years of experience as an attorney practicing in any other area
- Must be admitted to practice law and be in good standing with the State Bar of Arizona by the time of hire
- Valid Arizona driver’s license upon hire
- May require overtime availability to respond to after-hour inquiries
- Prosecutor experience in Arizona
- Experience presenting cases to a Grand Jury
- Represent the State before the Grand Jury
- Review and prepare cases for presentation to the Grand Jury
- Work with and prepare law enforcement witnesses for testimony in front of a Grand Jury
- Answer legal questions asked by Grand Jurors
- Assist with reviewing cases to make charging decisions
- Comply with all rules regulating professional responsibility
- Cover court and other duties as assigned
- Courtroom setting in a high volume, fast-paced environment with frequent stressful situations. May require extended periods of sitting while completing paperwork, standing, and moving about while performing duties

- Ability to travel to and from various County locations for court appearances, meetings, and training, utilizing personal or County-owned vehicles
- Ability to move up to 20 pounds
- Grand Jury presentations are conducted in person but there is an opportunity for some teleworking after the first year of employment
- Only the most qualified candidates will be considered
- Consideration will only be given to candidates who submit online applications

- Must pass a pre-employment background and/or fingerprint investigation as required by statute or policy, including drug and alcohol testing requirements for positions designated as safety-sensitive
