About This Position

City of Phoenix seeks a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join Enterprise Network Services team. Critical role in design, implementation, and day‑to‑day operations of enterprise datacenter network infrastructure. The Sr. Network Engineer will also serve as subject‑matter expert for F5 load‑balancing technologies, ensuring high availability, security, and performance for business‑critical applications. Work closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver robust, scalable network solutions that support growing business needs.

Direct responsibility for Cisco Nexus core switches, Internet connectivity, and cloud network circuits, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance across hybrid environments.

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise datacenter network infrastructure, including Cisco Nexus switches and related technologies.
• Configure, optimize, and troubleshoot F5 load balancers (LTM, ASM).
• Manage and support Internet connectivity and cloud network circuits for hybrid environments.
• Monitor network performance and ensure high availability and security.
• Lead root cause analysis for critical incidents and drive permanent fixes.
• Collaborate with application, security, and cloud teams for seamless integration.
• Develop and maintain network documentation and standards.
• Participate in on‑call rotation and provide escalation support.

Pay Range: $93,121.60 to $ annually.

• Two years of experience as an Information Technology Systems Specialist involving datacenter networking, core switching, and application delivery technologies.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, math, or a related field.
