Sr. Lead Business Systems Analyst (Data Management)

Location: Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

Compensation: $130K–$150K Base + Incentive + Full Benefits
We are seeking a Senior Lead Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with strong expertise in Data Management, Financial Crime, Data Quality, and Data Governance within the banking/financial services industry.
This role will serve as the bridge between Business and IT, ensuring business data needs are clearly defined, governed, and accurately implemented across enterprise systems — turning raw data into trusted, regulatory-compliant insights.
Key Responsibilities- Gather and document business data requirements
- Translate business questions into clear data elements, metrics, and definitions
- Define functional and non-functional requirements for data systems
- Document transformations, rules, and dependencies
- Support lineage and audit traceability (regulatory driven)
- Partner with Data Governance teams on:
- Business glossary
- Data ownership & stewardship
- Resolve data issues and perform root cause analysis
- Analyze upstream/downstream system data flows
- Identify gaps, redundancies, and compliance risks
- Support system enhancements and integrations
Work closely with Data Engineers, Architects, ETL Developers, and Reporting teams - Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and UAT
- Support UAT for data accuracy and reporting integrity
