IT Portfolio Management Analyst I / II
PMO Support | Service Now | Power BI | Portfolio Analytics
As an IT Portfolio Management Analyst at APS, you’ll support the internal PMO by helping project teams navigate governance processes, maintain accurate portfolio data, and deliver insights that drive better decisions. This role combines customer support, data analysis, and process improvement to ensure technology initiatives are delivered with visibility, consistency, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Support project teams with PMO governance and day-to-day inquiries
- Maintain portfolio data in Service Now (Strategic Portfolio Management)
- Analyze and report on portfolio metrics using Excel and Azure data sources
- Build and maintain Power BI dashboards to show project and portfolio health
- Maintain documentation, tools, and process artifacts
- Identify opportunities for automation, AI, and process improvements
- Partner with PMs and leaders to provide clear, actionable insights
- Experience in IT PMO, portfolio analysis, governance, or project reporting
- Hands-on experience with:
- Service Now SPM (preferred)
- Power BI dashboard creation
- Advanced Excel
- Strong data interpretation and communication skills
- Customer-focused, collaborative mindset
- Interest in automation, AI, and continuous improvement
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field
- PLUS one (1) year of prior relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and directly related experience.
- Requires basic technical subject matter knowledge within a job area or system
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field
- PLUS two (2) years of prior relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and directly related experience.
- Requires working technical knowledge gained through experience within a job area or system
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of digital technology asset life cycle management processes and supporting tools and services
- Familiarity with recognized software development and project management methodologies
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure solutions from major vendors
- Familiarity with the use of reporting tools to monitor portfolio activities and analyze portfolio performance
- Project Governance Execution & Compliance
- Quality Assurance & Delivery Health Monitoring
- Continuous improvement & process maturity
- Stakeholder Engagement and partnership
- Perform basic reporting and analysis of aggregated portfolio health issues
