Location: Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite)
About the Role:Visory is seeking a Network Engineer to design, deploy, and configure client network solutions. This role is responsible for both new installations and infrastructure upgrades, ensuring implementations are completed on time with minimal disruption to client operations. You will partner closely with sales engineers, project managers, support teams, and client stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable network environments.
What You Will Be DOING:- Network Deployment & Implementation: Deploy and configure network infrastructure across client environments, including switches, firewalls, routers, and wireless systems.
- Migrations, Upgrades & Cutovers: Perform network migrations, upgrades, and cutovers with detailed planning, documentation, and risk mitigation.
- Configuration & Best Practices: Implement MSP standards and client‑specific configurations to ensure strong security, performance, and reliability.
- Solution Review & Discovery: Participate in (or lead) discovery sessions and review solution designs for scalability, compliance, and alignment with project scope.
- Cross‑Team
Collaboration:
Work with sales engineers, project managers, and clients to define technical requirements and create implementation plans. - Testing & Validation: Conduct pre‑ and post‑implementation testing to confirm functionality, performance, failover readiness, redundancy, and security policy enforcement.
- Documentation & Diagrams: Document configurations, IP schemas, device roles, implementation details, and create as‑built diagrams for handoff to support teams.
- Client Communication & Stakeholder Updates: Maintain clear communication throughout the project lifecycle, including kickoff and close‑out meetings, and provide technical status updates.
- Go‑Live Support & Escalation: Serve as an escalation point during and immediately after go‑live; troubleshoot issues during stabilization and transition ongoing support to the NOC/helpdesk.
- Additional Support Responsibilities: Assist with hardware maintenance/patching, troubleshoot support tickets as needed, participate in on‑call rotation, and mentor Support Teams and Network Administrators.
- Certifications &
Experience:
CCNA, SNSA (or equivalent), and Meraki ECMS preferred. 2–4 years of experience implementing network devices and infrastructure in client environments. - Networking & Infrastructure Expertise: Strong knowledge of L2/L3 networking, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, firewall configuration, and Windows Server administration. Hands‑on experience with Meraki, Sonic Wall, Cisco, and Fortinet platforms.
- Troubleshooting & Implementation
Skills:
Strong diagnostic skills for complex technical issues, with the ability to plan migrations, execute cutovers, and validate network performance, redundancy, and security. - Communication & Work Style: Excellent interpersonal and client‑facing skills, strong documentation and time management practices, and the ability to multitask, adapt quickly, and work independently or as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
- Logistics & Availability: Ability to travel domestically as needed and work onsite 2–3 days per week, including participation in on‑call rotation.
