Engineer, Systems Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an Engineer for a Contract with a client in Phoenix, AZ
. The engineer will monitor and maintain system reliability and troubleshoot production incidents to ensure minimal downtime.

Rate Range: $37/hour to $47/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Monitor and maintain the health, availability, and performance of production systems using Splunk, Kibana, Grafana, and related observability tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents across L1/L2 support, ensuring minimal downtime and coordinating fixes with development teams.
• Perform defect analysis, manage RFC implementations, and conduct pre‑ and post‑validation during traffic diversions.
• Develop and maintain monitoring dashboards, alerts, and automation scripts to improve reliability and reduce manual workloads.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to implement SRE best practices, optimize system performance, and enhance platform stability.
• Participate in on‑call rotations, document incidents, and contribute to continuous improvement and knowledge‑base updates.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8–12 years of experience in production support, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or related backend engineering roles.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Core Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and monitoring tools such as Splunk, Kibana, and Grafana.
• Proven ability to support high‑availability systems, troubleshoot production incidents, and implement automation in cloud‑based environments.
