Job SummaryWe are looking for a highly experienced Mainframe Developer with 7+ years of hands-on experience to support and enhance enterprise mainframe systems. This role requires strong expertise in JCL, Fiserv PEP+, z/OS, and DB2, along with the ability to act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for mainframe technologies.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, test, and support mainframe applications and infrastructure solutions.
- Create, modify, and maintain JCL for batch processing and system jobs.
- Provide hands-on support for Fiserv PEP+ environments.
- Work with z/OS and DB2 for application development, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Act as a Mainframe SME, providing technical guidance and best practices.
- Support platform engineering initiatives and mainframe modernization efforts.
- Participate in capacity planning, performance monitoring, and system optimization.
- Manage software changes, releases, and contingency planning.
- Assist with mainframe application migrations and infrastructure upgrades.
- Evaluate vendor solutions and support build-versus-buy decisions.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and system standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
- 7+ years of experience in mainframe development and engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with JCL.
- Experience working with Fiserv PEP+.
- Solid knowledge of z/OS and DB2.
- Expertise in mainframe operating systems and hardware.
- Experience with software change management tools.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise mainframe systems.
- Exposure to mainframe modernization or migration projects.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
