Senior Azure Cloud Migration Architect

CTG is seeking to fill a Senior Azure Cloud Migration Architect position for our client.

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Duration: 10 months

• Lead Azure migration solutions across multi-cloud environments: IBM Cloud, IBM Cloud Private, AWS, and Azure.
• Develop hybrid cloud migration strategies (on-premises, off-premises, dedicated cloud) with client stakeholders.
• Create cost-benefit models, ROI analyses, and value vs. effort assessments to guide migration decisions.
• Collaborate with vendors/partners to select and implement migration tools effectively.
• Tailor migration methodology to client environment and industry needs.
• Design migration solutions: effort estimation, costing, staffing, and client negotiations.
• Prioritize initiatives for maximum client value using a minimum marketable product (MP) approach.
• Migrate workloads (applications/databases) from on-premises to Azure.
• Establish connectivity between on-premises and cloud networks.

• Expertise in Azure Migrate, Azure Site Recovery, and other migration tools.
• Strong experience with multi-cloud and hybrid cloud migrations.
• Ability to develop migration cost models and ROI analyses.
• Client-facing leadership with vendor management experience.
• Solution design, planning, and problem-solving skills.

• Proven track record leading Azure cloud migrations for enterprise clients.
• Hands-on experience migrating applications and databases to Azure.
• Significant client interaction: negotiation, presentations, and strategy discussions.
• Contributed to or tailored migration methodologies for complex environments.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; advanced degree preferred.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
