Position: Director IT - Source to Pay

As a Director IT here at Honeywell, you'll set the strategic direction and ensure the successful delivery of our technology projects. Collaborating closely with senior executives and cross‑functional teams, you'll align IT project strategies with our business objectives, driving innovation. You will manage planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring our projects meet quality, budget, and timeline expectations. You will report directly to our Sr Director IT
, and you will work out of our US Aerospace locations, preferably,
Phoenix or Chralotte
, on a Hybrid work schedule.

As Director IT, you will lead the end‑to‑end transformation of Source‑to‑Pay (S2P) processes‑including Sourcing, Procurement, and Accounts Payable‑as part of a multi‑year SAP S/4

HANA implementation within Honeywell Aerospace Technologies. This role is accountable for modernising global procurement operations by harmonising processes, driving automation, and ensuring full compliance with Aerospace & Defence (A&D) regulatory requirements, while aligning technology delivery with enterprise business objectives.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of IT project managers, providing mentorship, leadership, and guidance.
  • Collaborate closely with senior executives and cross‑functional teams to define and execute IT project strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Shape and manage the planning, execution, and delivery of technology projects, ensuring they meet quality, budget, and timeline expectations.
Process Transformation & Design
  • Lead the blueprinting, design, and deployment of S2P processes in SAP S/4

    HANA, replacing legacy workflows with industry best practices.
  • Drive global process harmonisation across regions and business units to establish standardised, scalable procurement operations aligned with Honeywell business objectives.
  • Lead change management & adoption of the process by working with the process leaders, functional leaders & executives.
Aerospace & Defence Regulatory Compliance
  • Ensure all S2P system designs and integrations fully comply with ITAR, FAR/DFARS, DPAS, and CMMC requirements.
  • Partner with Legal, Compliance, Cybersecurity, and Internal Audit teams to embed regulatory controls, auditability, and segregation of duties into S/4

    HANA and integrated platforms.
Subcontract & Flow down Management
  • Design and implement digital workflows that automatically manage complex subcontract flow downs and compliance obligations for U.S. Government and classified programmes.
  • Ensure traceability and enforcement of contractual clauses throughout the procurement lifecycle.
SAP Ecosystem Integration & Delivery Leadership
  • Oversee the integration of SAP S/4

    HANA with the broader SAP ecosystem, including:
    • Strategic Sourcing, Contracts, Supplier Collaboration
    • Secure, compliant cloud operations supporting regulated A&D workloads
  • Drive measurable improvements in supplier responsiveness, cost control, and delivery reliability.
Qualifications You must have
  • 12 or more years of experience in IT project management, including at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and mentor a high‑performing team.
  • A proven track record of successfully delivering complex IT projects, meeting quality, budget, and timeline expectations.
  • Exceptional problem‑solving skills and the ability to make critical decisions in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
We value
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant industry certifications such as PMP, Scrum Master, or similar.
  • Demonstrated success in driving digital transformation and strategic IT initiatives.
  • Strong project portfolio management skills.
  • Six sigma Greenbelt/Blackbelt certification preferred.
  • A passion for staying current with emerging industry trends and best practices.
