About the Position
The Maricopa County Recorder’s Office is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Manager to lead its Systems Administration and Help Desk teams. This role is responsible for managing daily IT operations, ensuring prompt resolution of service requests, and maintaining secure and stable systems across the department.
In addition to overseeing infrastructure and end-user support, the Infrastructure Manager will work closely with the .NET development team to seamless integration between infrastructure and application development efforts. A key responsibility will be to prepare and maintain the network and server infrastructure to support the successful rollout of new applications and system upgrades.
With a focus on performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction, this role blends technical leadership with hands‑on support, shaping the department’s technical environment and contributing to its overall success.
About UsThe Maricopa County Recorder’s Office (MCRO) is responsible for maintaining the Maricopa County voter registration records and for administering over elections in partnership with the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors. The MCRO also maintains the permanent public record of over 50 million documents dating back to 1871, including deeds, plat maps, and a variety of other important documents. - Four years of related experience
- Two years of experience as lead/supervisor
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field
- A combination of post‑secondary education and/or job‑related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year‑for‑year basis
- Eight years managing enterprise-networks
- Experience with:
- Multi‑Factor Authentication (MFA)
- Windows Server administration and Active Directory
- VMWare administration (ESXi, vCenter)
- Containers (Dockers, Kubernetes)
- Hybrid Cloud
- Microsoft Azure
- Lead, coach, and develop the IT Systems Administration and Help Desk teams
- Design, implement, maintain, and secure server infrastructure, storage systems, backups, and related technologies
- Coordinate system migrations and upgrades across departments
- Ensure timely support and patching for PCs, laptops, mobile devices, and servers
- Manage the procurement, deployment, and disposal of equipment in accordance with County standards
- Collaborate with the development team to align infrastructure with application deployment needs
- Evaluate emerging technologies to inform future IT strategies
- Monitor and report incident escalations and performance metrics based on SLAs
- Identify recurring issues and recommend technical and process improvements
- Oversee the election electronic systems, including infrastructure supporting voter registration databases, and early voting equipment, ensuring operational readiness before, during, and after elections
- Contribute to Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning
- Help develop and implement departmental IT guidelines, procedures, and standards
- Work is performed in an office and data center environment
