** POSITION SUMMARY
** This position is responsible for designing and managing enterprise-scale data infrastructure and analytics solutions at Sonora Quest Laboratories. This position blends strategic oversight with direct execution, leveraging modern cloud technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Fivetran, Coalesce, Sigma) to deliver actionable insights that enhance operational efficiency, diagnostic accuracy, and patient care across Arizona’s largest clinical laboratory network.

This role is a hybrid opportunity based in Phoenix, AZ.
* Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards.

** Typically supervises 3-5 data platform and analytics engineers.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

* ** Modern Data Stack Expertise:
** Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Fivetran, Coalesce, Sigma or equivalent modern data stack in healthcare or lab environments
* ** Programming & Analytics:
** Skilled in SQL, Python, and statistical analysis to build scalable models and performance tools
* ** Leadership & Communication:
** Proven ability to lead technical teams and present insights to clinical and executive stakeholders
** MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
*** Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related technical field — or equivalent professional experience demonstrating strong technical capability
* Five (5) years of hands‑on data engineering experience working with modern cloud data platforms; experience in healthcare or laboratory data environments is a strong plus
* Five (5) years of experience building, scaling, and managing modern Business Intelligence or Analytics platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Sigma)
* Three (3) years of experience with Snowflake, Fivetran, and data transformation frameworks such as Coalesce or dbt (or comparable tools).
* Three (3) years leadership experience including managing direct reports with guiding technical teams, developing talent, and fostering a high‑performance culture.
