The Enterprise Services Data Center & Networks Organization is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing a modern information systems infrastructure that serves approximately 110,000 employees in over 500 locations across more than 65 countries. Our services encompass connectivity, hosting, virtualization, storage, collaboration, integration, computing, and business transaction solutions, utilizing cloud-first strategies, automation, analytics, "as a Service" models, big data, and software‑defined systems.

We are looking for a Senior Storage and Backup Engineer to manage and enhance our advanced storage and backup systems. In this role, you will lead the architecture, engineering, and support of Honeywell's storage and backup environments as part of the Enterprise Compute Infrastructure team. Your responsibilities will include gathering requirements, helping design, recommending, and implementing on‑premises and cloud storage solutions.

Expertise is required in technologies like Net App, Nasuni for cloud-based storage, VAST for block storage, and Rubrik for backup solutions. You'll also identify opportunities to optimize existing systems to increase reliability and availability and regularly participate in Disaster Recovery exercises. Experience with tools such as Service Now and Splunk is necessary, as well as working with automation platforms like CHEF or Tanium.

• Storage Management: Oversee the architecture, engineering, and support of on-premises and cloud-based storage solutions such as Net App and Nasuni. Design, manage, and optimize data storage and recovery systems to ensure data integrity, availability, and security.
• Backup Solutions: Implement and manage robust backup strategies utilizing Rubrik CDM and Rubrik Security Cloud.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance the performance of SAN and NAS environments.
• Capacity Planning: Assist in planning for future storage capacity requirements and optimize current infrastructures, including onboarding sites into the DCN support model. Influence technology roadmaps related to storage and backup technologies.
• Disaster Recovery: Participate in regular disaster recovery exercises to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Optimization: Provide oversight of Honeywell IT in storage platform optimization, monitoring, and lifecycle management. Facilitate moving workloads to/from on-prem and off-prem cloud.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to support application and infrastructure-related issues.
• Project Management: Lead projects for onboarding sites into support models and manage related activities.

• Available for on‑call and weekend maintenance.
• Coordinate with vendors for support and hardware needs.
• Collaborate across IT teams to align storage with organizational goals.

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
• 8 years or more of SAN and Network Attached Storage (NAS) systems experience on Net App Storage in an enterprise environment. Also having experience in cloud-based storage such as Nasuni.
• 8 years or more of enterprise backup technology such as Rubrik, including maintaining and troubleshooting large (2000 or more clients) mission critical installations across multiple locations and performing recovery as needed within SLA.
