Field Technician II (Overnight Travel Required)

Our client is seeking a qualified Field Technician to join their team in Phoenix, AZ and provide end‑user support. This position requires overnight travel from Sunday through Thursday. OT may be required. You must hold a valid state driver's license (Real ), a clean MVR, and have a reliable vehicle.
Duties And Responsibilities- Upgrade advanced commercial printers at retail locations.
- Replace printer parts such as paper feed, power supply, print head, toner drum, transfer belt, and image unit.
- Perform complex upgrades and troubleshoot printers, servers, hard drives, and monitor systems.
- Provide on‑site technical support to internal or external customers, resolving complex or escalated technology issues.
- Install and remove equipment and systems as required.
- Operate day‑to‑day applications and equipment, serving as a customer contact for technical and service‑related problems.
- Ensure schedules, transmissions, online systems, and problems are resolved accurately and timely.
- Act as a liaison between customers, departments, and the organization to lead problem resolution and change‑management processes.
- Determine the most cost‑effective repair or resolution to minimize customer downtime.
- Minimum 2–3+ years of field service experience, specifically in commercial printers.
- Ability to travel extensively via plane and/or car.
- Engineering/large printer experience;
Lexmark printer certification is a plus. - Experience working on commercial printers with electronics/mechanical aptitude.
- Working knowledge of Windows operating systems, networks, databases, and network security concepts and tools.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook.
- Windows O/S multi‑platform experience.
- Knowledge of Rufus, Windows Server imaging, photo printing, system connectivity troubleshooting, and Windows configuration.
- Ability to work independently in a retail environment.
- Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent customer service skills and professionalism.
- Strong written and verbal communication with stakeholders, leaders, partners, and customers.
- Capacity to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve results in a fast‑paced, client‑driven environment.
The rate for this position is between $18.76 – $27.50 per hour. Starting pay may vary based on geography, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
