The Network Administrator is responsible for network equipment break/fix support, proactive monitoring, regular software patching and security vulnerability management. This role works independently on complex efforts, executing process steps, conducting analysis, problem solving, and delivering recommendations. Mastery of skills and knowledge of specialized work.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Monitors and administers Cavco’s Cisco Meraki Network Infrastructure
- Performs regular software patch deployments to Meraki routers, switches and access points in the Cavco environment.
- Supports Cavco’s voice over IP telecommunications environment including the back end and individual phone set configurations.
- Coordinate the management of Internet service for Cavco locations working through Cavco’s Internet service aggregation vendor.
- Support user access to Cavco’s virtual private network service and certificate-based authentication to Cavco’s wireless environment.
- Maintains information security by supporting tools on network devices to monitor security events and manage network device software vulnerabilities.
- Provides proactive monitoring of the network environment utilizing the Manage Engine OpManager tool together with other performance and capacity management tools as required.
- Resolve incidents assigned to the Infrastructure Operations team in the incident management system.
- Gather and report data on existing environment for SOX compliance.
- Bachelors in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline preferred.
- 3 years’ experience managing Meraki network components in a network with over 100 locations.
- Completion of the Cisco Certified Network Associate certification.
- Experience managing and configuring VoIP devices and environments from services such as Ring Central or Metaswitch.
- Experience working with third-party vendors to deliver services such as internet aggregation and VoIP telephone.
- Proficient capability supporting Cisco based DHCP and DNS environments.
- Experience with the Manage Engine suite of tools:
OpManager and Helpdesk Plus. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
